Why Your Moisturizer Stops Working

If your moisturizer isn’t working quite like it used to, you’re not alone. As we age, our skin shifts below the surface—losing the collagen, elastin, hyaluronic acid, and barrier integrity it needs to stay hydrated and firm. This leads to thinner, weaker skin that struggles to retain moisture, no matter how many “hydrating” creams you apply.

But OneSkin’s new OS-01 FACE RICH CREAM is built differently. While most moisturizers sit on the skin’s surface and wash off at the end of the day, OS-01 FACE RICH CREAM works at the cellular level to actually rebuild the density that allows skin to hold onto moisture. It’s powered by a Dual-Phase Hydration System, combining potent bioactive humectants with OneSkin’s age-reversing OS-01 Peptide™ to promote healthier collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid production, and fortify the skin barrier. The results: deep, lasting hydration and progressive visible firmness—for resilient skin that keeps up with you.

NEWS NOTES

Data-centre plans meet the neighbours 🏗️

Residents can put their questions about the proposed Spruce Lake Data Centre Hub directly to the project team tonight at the Lorneville Community Centre.

Beacon Data Centers, VoltaGrid and Stantec will be there to discuss the proposal, which includes a data centre, on-site natural gas power generation and two underground gas pipelines. There’s a fair bit more to this one than finding somewhere to plug in the computers.

The open house is advertised for 5–7pm at 1141 Lorneville Road, with no advance registration required. It’s part of the project’s environmental and energy review processes, and public feedback will also be accepted for 30 days after the session.

Have your say on the fare đźš•

Saint John’s annual vehicles-for-hire rate review is open, giving riders and operators until December 2 to submit written comments about whether regulated rates should change.

No increase has been announced. This is the part where you get to offer an opinion before a decision, rather than after the receipt.

Submissions go to the general manager of Saint John Transit. A public meeting will follow, with any recommended changes ultimately going to Common Council. The City’s notice explains how to participate.

Sea Dogs tickets lend an assist 🏒

The Sea Dogs are adding a fundraising assist to next Thursday’s game against the Quebec Remparts. Starting Friday, November 6 at noon, tickets purchased using the code CAF will send $5 per ticket to Soldier On, which supports ill and injured Canadian Armed Forces members and veterans through sport and recreation.

The November 12 Military Appreciation Night starts at 7pm at TD Station, with Terry Kelly performing. The team is also providing 200 complimentary tickets for military members, veterans and their families.
