Good Morning Saint John! Two days after the Panthers’ Stanley Cup win, the party’s still leaving its mark… literally. The Cup’s sporting a new crack and dent—sounds like it took a worse beating than the Oilers did in the finals.
Here’s the lowdown for the day:
Xerox to add 138 new jobs in SJ 🧑💻

Help others with some summer essentials ☀️
Let’s get into it!

NEWS NOTES
📈 Xerox Adds Fuel to Saint John’s Job Market
Saint John’s job board is getting a serious refresh…Xerox Canada is expanding its digital sales ops right here in the city, with up to 138 new full-time roles expected by the end of 2027. The company is hiring for digital sales reps, partner managers and specialists, and has already started recruitment.
“Xerox’s decision to expand in New Brunswick was influenced by the strategic support provided by Opportunities NB,” said Cindy Arbeau, the company’s global head of inside sales. “We’re excited to grow our team in Saint John and tap into the region’s skilled workforce.”
The province is kicking in up to $725,000 in payroll rebates to help make it happen, an investment expected to generate $26.5 million in GDP. If you’ve got sales chops and can talk digital without buffering, you could be a good fit.
🚌 KV’s Taking the Bus for a Spin
Quispamsis and Rothesay are kicking the tires on a new transit plan, and it could roll into town by July. The two communities are teaming up to launch KV Go, a free, accessible bus pilot program. Running daily for eight hours, the service will loop through local hot spots like parks, rec centres, and shopping destinations, for at least three months.
Quispamsis Mayor Libby O’Hara called it “absolutely needed,” and hopes this trial leads to a full-time system in the Kennebecasis Valley. The route includes an inner and outer loop, each under an hour, with stops near places like the qplex, Meenan’s Cove, and Renforth Rotary Park.
The towns are covering the $130K cost themselves, without any federal or provincial funding yet. Rothesay Mayor Nancy Grant says it’s all about proving the need, especially for seniors, newcomers, and anyone without easy access to a car.
Surveys, bike rack plans, and route tweaks are also all in the works. ($)
🙌 Summer Needs Are Heating Up
Avenue B Harm Reduction is calling for donations to help meet urgent, everyday needs in the warmer months, when support tends to dip. They're looking for lightly used shoes, hats, sunglasses, new socks and underwear, unopened toiletries (like shampoo, toothbrushes, sunscreen, bug spray), non-perishable snacks, Boost or Ensure, and bottled or reusable water bottles and other similar items.
Donations go straight to people in our community who need them. Drop-off is Mon–Thurs, 9am–3:30pm at 62 Waterloo St. (upstairs), or text Brit at (506) 650-9460 for a pickup in Saint John.
