🥌 Rock Solid Excitement in '27
In partnership with:
Good morning Saint John! Near Old Orchard Beach, a Maine gym teacher sank 1,516 three-pointers in an hour in an attempt at his third Guinness World Record. Meanwhile, we’re just trying to sink our morning coffee without missing the mug. 🏀
Here’s what’s bouncing around this morning:
Curlers invade Saint John, brooms at ready 🧹
Saint John cops boxing up holiday cheer 🎅
Still too early for Christmas lights? ✨
Enjoy the day!

A Stage for Every Kid
At InterAction School of Performing Arts, kids don’t just take classes, they take the stage. From music and dance to full-scale theatre productions, young performers aged 4 to 18 get to shine in real shows with real audiences. Every student belongs, every voice matters, and confidence takes centre stage.
This is where confidence grows, friendships form, and kids discover what they’re capable of. Spots are still open, it’s not too late to join this season’s programs.
NEWS NOTES
🥌 World’s Best Curlers Sliding into Saint John
Brush up on your sweeping skills because Saint John is about to get some serious sheet. The city has landed the 2027 BKT World Men’s Curling Championship, coming to TD Station from March 27 to April 4, 2027.
It’s the first time in over a decade that Saint John has hosted a world curling event, and this one brings a new expanded 18-team format. The world’s top curlers, including Team Canada, will battle it out right here in the city, so get your hurry hard-screams in tune.
Mayor Donna Noade Reardon called it another boost for the city’s growing reputation as a major-event host, while Envision Saint John expects economic ripple to be as strong as a triple takeout.
🎁 Cops, Socks, and Holiday Cheer
The Saint John Police are back with their fifth annual Holiday in a Box campaign, teaming up with local neighbourhood groups to collect shoebox-sized care packages for adults in need this season. Last year the community packed 600 boxes and 225 gift cards, and the challenge is on to top that total. Fill a shoebox with essentials like toothpaste, socks, gloves, bus passes, or a coffee shop gift card.
Drop-offs are open at police headquarters on Peel Plaza, Monday to Friday from 8am to 4:30pm until December 15.
