NEWS NOTES
š« Phishy Parking Texts Making the Rounds
If youāve gotten a shady text about an overdue Saint John parking ticketā¦donāt tap, donāt pay, donāt panic. Itās a scam. The cityās been getting calls from folks whoāve received text messages asking them to pay up through a suspicious link. But hereās the thing: Saint John doesnāt do parking fines by text or DMs. Real tickets still come the old-fashioned way - slapped on your windshield or mailed to your home. Got one of those scam texts? Report it to your phone provider and delete it faster than you can say āI was only parked there for five minutes!ā
š Quispamsis Rec Spaces Survey is Live
From the bleachers to the ballfields, Quispamsis wants to know how you use local sports facilities, and now thereās a quick survey to make it official. Theyāre building a new Recreational Facility Allocation Policy (say that three times fast) to decide how spots like arenas, courts, and fields get booked and shared. Whether you're a die-hard coach, sideline parent, or just show up for the snacks, your input counts. The survey takes just a few minutes and closes June 16ā¦so get clickin' and tell them how you play.
š¬ Revival Trailer Drops, Saint John Looks Killer
Missed this one last week? Same. But better late than never: the Revival trailer just dropped, and if the scenery looks suspiciously familiar, it's because the SYFY series was shot right here in the Saint John region last summer. Based on the hit Image Comics story, Revival is part supernatural thriller, part murder mystery, with a small-town cop, some mysteriously undead locals, and plenty of eerie vibes. It premieres on Crave next month.
