Sample beer, wine, spirits and non-alcoholic creations from producers around New Brunswick, browse hundreds of live and silent auction items, try your luck in the Cooler Draw and 50/50, and keep the souvenir sipping glass when the night is done.

General admission begins at 6:30pm and costs $75. Upgrade to VIP for $150 and arrive at 6pm for a reserved seat, charcuterie and exclusive tasting seminars with local mixology experts. VIP admission also includes a $75 charitable tax receipt.

Best of all, every pour supports Rocmaura and the seniors who call it home.

NEWS NOTES

🎨 City Market looking for a fresh coat of history

The Saint John City Market is turning 150, and the city wants artists to help paint the town red, blue or whatever colour best suits a milestone this big. Professional artists and teams can submit concepts for a new mural spanning two exterior arch structures along Germain Street. Proposals can dig into the Market’s history, community spirit and cultural significance, or take a fresh swing at what makes Canada’s oldest continuously operating public market such a Saint John staple. Submissions close September 4 at 11:59pm, with the winning artist or team chosen by mid-September. That leaves a brisk few weeks to complete the work before its October unveiling. No pressure, just 150 years of history staring at a blank wall.

🏊 Fisher Lakes back in business

Public Health has lifted the swimming advisories for Fisher Lakes after additional testing. With humidity climbing this week, Saint John officially has permission to go jump in a lake.

💬 Your opinion, please!

Today may bring a little rain, but the heat isn’t finished with us yet. With Fisher Lakes back open for swimming, we’re diving into a very important regional debate…
