Here’s the other treats we’re droolin’ over:

NEWS NOTES

🏖️ Swimming's back on

Good news if your weekend plans involved more than staring longingly at the water from the beach.

The City of Saint John has lifted swimming advisories at Tucker Park, Dominion Park and Fisher Lake after follow-up testing gave the all-clear. The beaches were temporarily closed last week because of elevated bacteria levels, but they're officially back open just in time for the weekend.

The forecast still comes with the usual Maritime disclaimer, though. Friday could bring showers and thunderstorms before things improve to a mix of sun and cloud Saturday and Sunday. In other words, pack the swimsuit...and maybe don't put the umbrella away just yet.

🛍️ Got a garage full of vintage

Well, someday is just around the corner…

Right Good Pop Up is looking for sellers to help fill the Saint John Public Gardens during its next Right Good Community Yard Sale on July 25. Inspired by the neighbourhood yard sales many of us grew up with, the event mixes secondhand treasures, vintage finds, clothing racks, handmade goods and a healthy dose of 90s nostalgia.

Organizers are hoping to fill more than 60 yard sale spots and are inviting anyone cleaning out a closet, downsizing or testing a small business idea to apply. Vendor spaces are $25, with applications open until July 12 or until they're filled.

If you've been meaning to part with that denim jacket you've been saving since 1998, you swore you'd patch...your moment has arrived.

WHERE WERE WE WEDNESDAY? 📸

📍 On Wednesday we shared this rainbow and asked if you could name the location. Sure, the rainbow was nice...but all we could think about was the Pumpkin Patch now that they're serving Sussex Ice Cream. Shout out to Kelly M., Edgar D., Jacob P., Josh G., and Casie C., for recognizing the west side summer spot!
