Here’s the lowdown for the day:

  • Sustainability pledge could net you $250 đź’°

  • Reunite with your stolen bike 🔍

  • Blue Rodeo announces SJ stop 🎤

Let’s get to it!

NEWS NOTES

🌿 Sustainable Transportation Week Rolls In With a $250 Prize

It’s pedal-to-the-metal (but eco-friendly) for Sustainable Transportation Week. The Fundy Regional Service Commission wants you to ditch the car and get your steps, pedals, or bus passes in for a shot at winning big. Take the Sustainable Transportation Pledge or just shout out your fave green travel method online for a chance to snag a $250 gift card to local gems like the Imperial Theatre or TD Station. Bonus? YETI Ramblers for runners-up, because sipping sustainably is also a vibe.

đźš´ Bikes Galore Waiting to Roll Back Home

It’s practically a bike bonanza down at the Saint John Police station. From trusty Rockys to sleek Konas and even a kids’ Mavela (that probably was just headed to the ice cream shop), the police have a whole buffet of bikes looking to be reunited with their rightful owners. If yours has gone MIA lately, give them a shout at 506-648-3235 and be sure to bring a photo or that embarrassing “I love my bike” video if it helps prove it’s yours. Today is World Bicycle Day, so let’s celebrate by keeping our two-wheeled beauties locked up tight and out of the arms of bike bandits.

🚀 Women’s Career Expo Ready to Boost Your Hustle

Ladies of Saint John, consider this your official permission slip to skip the office and get your hustle on! The Women’s Career Expo is rolling into the Saint John Trade & Convention Centre this Thursday, June 5, from 8:45am to 12:30pm. It’s a powerhouse of networking, panel chats (like how to smash those glass ceilings), and community support tips that’ll have you feeling like you’ve got this city in your back pocket. Stick around for the tradeshow to swap cards and maybe even snag your next big gig. The event’s backed by Envision Saint John and some big thinkers, so you know it’s the real deal. Let’s level up, Saint John!

🎸Blue Rodeo Bringing the Big 4-0 to Saint John

Saddle up…Canada’s beloved country-rock icons Blue Rodeo are rolling into town to mark a whopping 40 years of sweet tunes and even sweeter memories. The band’s milestone tour will hit the TD Station on November 9, with special maritime guest Adam Baldwin along for the ride. From clubs in Toronto to stages from coast to coast, Blue Rodeo’s been playing the soundtrack of our lives since, well, before some of us were born. Presale tickets for this nostalgia-fuelled night drop Tuesday, June 3 at 10am local time, so saddle up quick!
